Woman Fakes Seizure To Avoid Arrest

HOUSTON — A woman faked a seizure to avoid being arrested after a chase, officials told KPRC Local 2.

Houston police said an officer spotted a pickup truck at a gasoline station on Werner Street near Witcher Lane at about 1 a.m. Wednesday.

Police said the officer attempted to stop the driver, but she fled.

The woman led officers on a chase down several streets and stopped on Spreading Oak Drive near Bloom Drive.

Paramedics were dispatched to the scene and the woman pretended to have a seizure to avoid going to jail, police said.

The woman was wanted on outstanding warrants. She could be charged with felony evading arrest.

Investigators said drugs were found inside the pickup truck.
