Web has a crush on hot Obama fan vid

The biggest hit on the Web yesterday was a video of a busty woman writhing around in a bikini next to a poster of a bare-chested Sen. Barack Obama and singing a catchy pop song about her love for the presidential candidate.

Titled “I’ve Got a Crush on Obama,” (click here to view video ) the silly-but-steamy video, was watched by more than a half million people in a day. It was even getting some radio play.

“I can’t wait/til 2008/Baby, you’re the best candidate,” sings “Obama Girl” as she jiggles around New York City in increasingly skimpy outfits, including red panties with Obama’s name written across the back.

Some older political pros suspected it was an attack by a rival campaign, but it turned out to be the work of a 21-year-old Obama fan who hopes its wild popularity among Net-savvy young people will help Obama.

“I guess some people think this song might make people take Barack less seriously,” said the creator, Leah Kauffman, a college senior in Philadelphia. “But this video and this song are encouraging people to talk about issues and voting.”

“Obama Girl” isn’t real though. She may not even vote for him.

Kauffman, who wrote and performed the song, hired lingerie model Amber Lee Ettinger to prance around lip-syncing the words.

Ettinger says she doesn’t know who she’ll vote for. She was more interested in riding the huge wave of publicity the steamy video produced.

“I hope this takes me to the next level,” she said.

Kaufmann made waves in December with her “My Box in a Box” clip, a female answer to a hit boy-band spoof from “Saturday Night Live.” Her clip was viewed 3 million times and landed her on MSNBC.
