Tarot Reader Allegedly Taped Teens Having Sex

A Minneapolis tarot card reader has been charged for convincing a teenage couple to have sex in his office so he could videotape the act.

According to the criminal complaint, 40-year-old Miguel Garro, alias “The Maestro,” was consulted by a 16-year-old girl and her 19-year-old boyfriend for spiritual counseling.

The girl’s father did not approve of her relationship.

Garro, who ran his services through a business called “Maestros Espirituales,” told the victims demons were to blame for their difficulties.

He told them, if they wanted to disperse the “bad energy,” they could consult him twice a week for an additional $750.

At their next visit, Garro allegedly requested they remove their clothing and cleanse themselves with “holy water napkins,” which he wrapped in tin foil to “examine” their energy levels, according to the criminal complaint.

On Jan. 9, Garro insisted the couple engage in sexual intercourse on his office desk after cleansing themselves with holy water, while he left them alone.

This ersatz ritual was repeated four more times before the girl spotted a video camera lens set up in their direction and contacted authorities.

Investigators found the camera hooked up to a TV and VCR in another room.

Garro faces six felony counts for use of a minor in sexual performance.
