Russian Teen Kills Grandmother Over TV Remote

Mosnews reported that an 18-year old youth in the Northern Russian region of Karelia has stabbed to death his grandmother after an argument over the choice of television channel, the Interfax news agency reported on Friday.

The agency quoted regional prosecutors as saying that the incident took place in the village of Nadvoitsy of Senezh District. The 81-year old woman was stabbed many times and died on the spot. The grandson then went to the neighbor’s house and said that he had just committed a murder.

Prosecutors said that the man had already fully confessed in his crime. At the time it was committed he was drunk, but not at such state that he could not control his actions, they added.
