Man botches burglary with saw

January 1, 2007 by info

A SYDNEY man has proved a poor burglar, not only by using a circular saw to try to cut his way into his neighbour’s unit, but doing it while five people were in it.

A 40-year-old Kings Cross resident allegedly attempted to break in to the unit about 2.50pm (AEDT) yesterday. There were five people home at the time.

The man was charged with six counts of common assault, two counts of being armed with intent to commit indictable offences and one count of property damage.

He was bailed to appear in Downing Centre Local Court on January 10.
